This present living manifesto serves as a daily mental checklist for those who strive to live in the moment, remain present, and practice mindfulness.
Reflection
As graduate students juggle between studies and work, living in the present can be hard. While pulling from my own spirituality, my hope is for manifesto to inspire and encourage others to live life slowly, in a humorous and impactful way. Theune’s text prompted my use of humor, as he explains that writing pedagogy could be improved by “more honoring of style, playful-ness, fun, pleasure, humor.” This also ties into to the text by Thomas, emphasizing the writer’s voice. I utilized my voice to relate to and impact my readers in a positive way.
