Description

On their Instagram, Pubity released a Disney Princess bracket to determine which one is the best. Before the results came out, Milo and I went through the bracket and made our predictions for each of the rounds. We have in-depth conversations analyzing character development, internal/external conflicts, and even the popularity of Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Reflection

My initial idea with the podcast was to go through the Disney eras and princesses and try to talk about the slow progression towards current feminist movements. When I tried recording any analysis, I found myself doing a character analysis with no ties towards the movement. Plus, my initial idea would have just been me talking, but I decided to include my brother Milo because it would have been more entertaining to have a conversation. The bracket allowed for a natural conversation and even debate which I thought would be more interesting for listeners. I made it into a video with the bracket lineups visible as Milo and I discuss them to make the podcast easier to follow.
