Description
This brochure is created to inform undergraduate students who may be in the SCMA programs or not a Nova Southeastern University student. The audience will be able to understand what CRDM accomplishes as a Master’s program. The audience will be able to see multiple images featuring students and faculty participating in events and classes in the CRDM program. The brochure provides links to all of the social media in the SCMA program, curriculum requirements, career opportunities, how to apply to assistantships, a brief description on admissions, contact information, a QR code to lead the audience to the Critical Making Exhibit submissions, and quick tips. Overall, this brochure is a quick guide to CRDM and informs undergraduate students already at Nova Southeastern University and those who are new to the university on everything they need to know about the CRDM Master’s program.
Reflection
Choosing the idea for this project was pretty easy. We found the number 1 thing we each had in common with each other: being in CRDM. We originally decided we would create a how-to guide for the program, but as we developed the content, we realized it shifted towards an informational guide. Dr. Mason helped us weave out our audience more clearly and also provided us with SCMA logos. In the original design we had information about the thesis process so we changed that section to provide information about assistantships. The design process went fairly well. We all had experience using Canva and decided it would be the best tool to work collaboratively. We went through hundreds of brochure templates and picked out our favorites. We utilized the content from the website and added a few of our own touches. Overall, we wanted to create a different type of document, different than the flyers or handouts that already exist.
