Description
A parody exagerrating the relationship between TikTok influencers, consumerism, brands, showcasing how influencers use excessive giveaways, exclusive brand trips, and over-the-top promotions to market products.
Reflection
I regularly browse TikTok, and over the past year, I noticed how frequently influencers are invited on exclusive brand trips, i.e. Tarte. Influencer culture and brand marketing have become increasingly influential in today’s digital world. The average consumer is often easily persuaded by these influencer videos, which effectively promote the products they are marketing. However, these brand trips reveal an unusual trend, showcasing a lavish lifestyle intertwined with continuous marketing efforts for commercial gain. Social media has transformed consumerism and the way we perceive products and the influencers who promote them.
