I created this business card using Adobe Illustrator and Canva. I used the pre-existing logos I created for project one. In Canva, I was able to match the colors from my logo and insert more design elements. In this design I use only pink, yellow and black. I designed this business card with simplicity in mind. I wanted the information to be easy to read but not in a traditional manner. I designed this business card for the purpose of if I ever decide to start my business ventures! 2020 has provided an ample amount of time to start brainstorming the ways I can accomplish branding and updating my website more. The phrase “Meg Provenzale Creations” is not necessarily referring to products for purchase but mainly the items and projects displayed on my website.
In class someone mentioned my logos from the previous project had given them a 90’s vibe which made sense. I did not realize this prior to receiving peer feedback. When I was creating this project, I felt inspired to maintain the 90’s theme. After playing around, I came up with a Tetris-y layout which iI create with a bunch of boxes and rectangles placed carefully on the document. I noticed when creating this project, I felt I had more of end goal in mind for the projects design and presentation. Whereas, the process for designing the logos was more trial and error.
I am mostly satisfied with my end result! When I continue to work on this project I plan to change up the color scheme to match or compliment the color scheme of my website. I always have wanted a fun and colorful business card to promote my website, so this project makes me happy!
