Reflection
This document was created to support my intended thesis: Writing in Optometry. The design for this proposal intentionally included key elements that would be recognized and appreciated by the target audience such as university colors, college logo, and personalized diction. However, the driving force is the scholarship I presented that supports my idea. I listed Dan Melzer and Michael Berger, two composition scholars that were able to implement a writing culture in health science graduate programs in the United States. Additionally, I utilized a combination of audience addressed theory and audience invoked from Lisa Ede and Andrea Lunsford to assure that I captured my audience in favor of my idea. The presentation, a multimodal document, was selected to meet the needs of all the administrators that would read the proposal.
