Oh dear, where do I even start? I’m Sherry, and I’ve been around the sun 60 times, so trust me, I know a thing or two! I bought this pink toy ATM because it looked absolutely darling online. But let me tell you, this thing is about as useful as a chocolate teapot!

First off, it’s ten dollars, which might as well be a million because it doesn’t work at all! I thought I’d teach my grandkids about saving money, but all they learned was how to throw a fit when the ATM ate their paper money (not real money, mind you, because it spit out our real bills like it was allergic to them!). And coins? Forget about it; it’s like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole!

The description said it was ‘educational and fun with realistic features.’ Well, Sherry says it’s about as realistic as a unicorn riding a bicycle! The buttons stick, the screen flashes like a disco from my younger days, and the sounds—oh, the sounds—it makes are like a catfight outside my window at Bagby 4 AM.

To top it off, when I tried to contact their customer service, I felt like I was playing hide and seek with a ghost. Now, I’m usually more sugar than vinegar, but this pink monstrosity has driven me to write this scathing review. So, heed the advice of Sherry, and save your ten dollars for something worthwhile, like a nice lunch or a real piggy bank!

I thought, ‘Hey, this will be fun, teach the kids a bit about money,’ but nope, it was like throwing my $10 and my sanity into a black hole. The first time we put coins in, it jammed faster than you can say ‘bankrupt.’ My five-year-old was looking at me like I broke her favorite toy, tears welling up, and I’m there with a butter knife trying to pry the coins out! And if you dare think about getting customer service to help? Ha! Might as well talk to the wall because it’s just as helpful and a lot less frustrating.

I can’t wait to see how much fun my grandkids will have with it. It’s all about the thought, and I thought this was just the perfect gift. Bless their hearts, I’m sure they’re going to love playing with their new pink ATM and learn all about money management. I haven’t had the chance to open it up myself—us grandmas are so busy, you know—but the pictures on the box were just adorable.

When the ATM arrived, I was impressed with the sturdy packaging and the vibrant pink color that immediately caught my kids’ eyes. We opened it together, and setup was a breeze—no complicated instructions, just load it with batteries, and it was ready to go!

The toy comes with play money which is great for learning to count and recognize different bills and coins. My kids love inserting the bills into the slot and watching the machine ‘magically’ count and store their money. It’s also got a little card they can swipe which makes them feel just like mom and dad at the real ATM! The coins got jammed a couple of times, but that wasn’t a big deal, as our youngest daughter would just force them through anyway.
